Douglas vs Carson

Douglas High School is in Minden. Carson High School is in Carson City. They are about 10 miles apart. It is a HUGE rivalry. Much bigger than Dietrich/Shoshone was when I was growing up anyway. It was worse when we first moved here. I remember when Brent was student teaching and we went to the basketball game. They had police at both ends of the court and when the game was over they had Carson fans exit through one end of the gym and 15 minutes later they had the Douglas fans exit through the other end of the gym. Well this year Douglas won the basketball match.
