Day 7

The final day. First they had rehearsal and then the final show. In the optionals if they made top 5 they had to recompete at the Red Carpet Awards. Here were the results of those:
Jessie
Casual wear modeling - 2nd runner up
Actress - 1st runner up
Most Promising model - 4th runner up
Best Resume - 1st runner up
Brookie
Casual wear modeling - 3rd runner up
They received scores in the Exceptional category on all of their optional's! Not too bad out of over 100 entries in each of their age groups.

For the final show Jessie ended up 13th for overall out of the state winners (I think there were 48 or so state winners there.) Brookie was the youngest one in her age group. She ended up 11th! She had the highest score in personal introduction and was .2 off of the highest score for interview! They both did their very best and had the best time and we were so proud to be their parents!

Thanksgiving Banquet

Granpa and Nana spend the week in Anaheim with us and Aunt Kara flew in for the Thanksgiving banquet.
My very favorite thing in life is being a wife and mom! My second favorite thing is matching outfits and pictures! Just kidding but isn't it just precious! And you can't even see my super sweet matching red heals!

Photos on the red carpet!
My four matching angels.
Future Miss Nevada??? She doesn't need a title or sash...she definitely wears the crown in this family right now!
Brookie and her fancy glass!
Jessie and her fancy glass!
Braden with his fancy glass!
Kaylee Nicole was YELLING in this picture...I'm sure of it! She is not a quite little girl. It must come from having 3 older siblings. But, believe me, she is not at all over shadowed!
Brookie and Grandpa
Grandpa and Braden with same-same Sunday clothes.
Our little camera hog! She is ALWAYS up for a photo!
Daddy escorting the "Miss Nevada" sisters on stage at the Thanksgiving banquet.
Jessie, Brookie and Gia (Jessie best little friend from Arizona). Check out those fishy lips!
Brookie and Chandler Swift (Miss Pennsylvania). Brookie became good friends with her. Yep, she is Taylor Swift's cousin!
Mike the camera guy. He was one of the people that came to our house and did "A Day in the Life" when Brooke was the National Princess. We have stayed close with him. He is LDS. He played the bagpipes at the Thanksgiving Banquet.
LONG day for Miss Kaylee Nicole!

Day 6

Day 6 was a busy day. Interviews in the morning. Top 5 for optional's announced. Red White and Blue rehearsal. Car drawing (nope our name wasn't drawn). Then the Thanksgiving banquet. (In a separate post.) Jessie and Brookie with Taylor Longbrake from California. One of our very good friends. She feeds Brookie's love for fashion and "Juicy Couture" through hand-me-downs!
Brookie and Jessie with Kennedy Miller from Washington. Another one of our favorite friends we've made over the years.
Top 5 announced for optional's. Brookie made top 5 in casual wear. There were over 100 entries!
Top 5 announced for options in Princess division. Jessie made top 5 in casual wear and actress. Again, over 100 entries is each!

NAM Nationals Day 4

Day 4
Day 4 was supposed to be the Hollywood Tour. The Hollywood Tour is a fun and interesting tour but we had done it the two previous years and decided not to do it again. Instead we decided to spend the day at the American Girl Place. This was what the girls wanted to do more than even Disneyland! Jessie told her teacher we were going to California for a week and when the teacher asked why she said to go to the American Girl Place! Haha...not for Disneyland or for Nationals but for the American Girl Place. We went and just walked through all the doll rooms and looked at "stuff" for about 1 1/2 hours then Brookie picked out a new outfit for her doll and Jessie decided to have her hair's doll done at the salon instead of getting an outfit. Then we went and had lunch with the dolls in the Cafe. It was a 5 course meal and the girls had the BEST day!Headin' to Hollywood
The American Girl Place
They each got to chose 1 thing. Brookie's doll got her ears pierced and an outfit for her doll. Jessie's doll had her hair done in the salon and her doll got glasses.
Waiting for lunch with their American Girl dolls
Brookie looking over her menu.
Jessie checking out her menu. She chose to have her own dolls hair fixed so while her doll was at the salon Jessie "borrowed" a doll to have lunch with.
A special shake.
Dessert!

Such a pretty Christmas tree! We had the BEST day!
We had to rush back to make it to PJ's rehearsal that night.Braden and Kaylee Nicole
