Friday Fun Night

Braden really loves his Ninja classes and thinks that Master Nyles is the coolest teacher ever. It's amazing how they learn to show so much respect with their "yes sir" and "no sir" to EVERYTHING! They have a monthly challenge and if they pass the challenge and have perfect attendance they get to attend the Friday Fun Night at the end of the month. Well Master Nyles told Braden he needed to complete this challenge and Braden replied with a loud "yes sir". The challenge was to do 10 sit ups and 10 push ups morning and night. Braden took this VERY serious and made sure he did them EVERY DAY. He did not miss one day! And boy by that 30th day and after 560 pushups and 560 situps his little tummy has turned into a rock. He can pump out those PU's and SU's like crazy. We were very proud of our little Ninja. The Friday Fun Night was a Easter Egg Hunt to see if they could find any eggs the Easter bunny might have left behind.

I had one of the most amazing experiences today. I signed up to go clean the temple. Before we got to cleaning we were given a tour of the temple where we learned so many interesting facts and details about the temple. I thought "yeah, this will be a good experience to go clean the temple". But it was really one of the most spiritual experiences I've had at the temple. I learned so much about it and the spirit was so strong the entire time. I must say after the tour I was a nervous wreck while cleaning. I was afraid that I might vac something wrong or use the wrong cleaner on the wrong thing. Sounds kinda funny but I wanted to show so much respect. I would recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity.

Easter Eggs

Easter Baskets & Easter Bunny

Braden has been on the look out for the Easter bunny. He never did see the actual Easter bunny but did see lots of helpers. He would sneak out and try to be so quiet and get a picture. He actually got pretty good at it. Here is the picture that I think was the closest he got.Poor Brookie was sick on Easter. She didn't even wanna get up and find her Easter basket. The other kids helped her really fast and she posed for a picture then went right back to bed. Brent stayed home from church with her and she slept most of the day. Here were the Easter basket goodies this year. Brookie: Abercrombie t-shirt, Jessie: Dolphin pillow pet, Braden: Grave Digger Monster Jam, Kaylee Nicole: Dora Books and bubbles. Everyone was happy. And that darn Easter bunny didn't even leave any jelly beans!

Easter Breakfast

There was a Easter breakfast and Easter Egg hunt at the church. The kids had a great time and we got to bring Paige Rhead with us. We miss the Rheads. They only moved to Reno but we don't get to see them much anymore.

A quick few words about Nikki's shirt. Daddy bought her this shirt and it is her VERY FAVORITE! She wears it every chance she gets. The second it is washed she has it on again. It is PINK and says I "heart" girlie things! This describes Nikki to a tee! She LOVES pink and is as girly as they come!

Easter Pics

It's SOOO nice to have your BFF own a portrait studio! Shelly called me and said she needed some Easter picture samples. Luckily, my little girlies already had the cutest dresses I had bought on clearance last fall. We ran out and bought Braden a new shirt and tie and whala! We had pictures the next day!

Sandbox Project

I asked my Dad for ideas and suggestion on ways to help my kids learn how to work. We don't live on a farm and they already do the "regular jobs" like cleaning rooms, unloading dishwasher, helping with dinner, ect. My dad suggested I give them projects with a deadline. Soooo...here was the first project. It was spring break and they needed somethink to keep them busy. We had a sandbox that needed to be fixed, cleaned up and painted. They had to get it all cleaned out of spiders and cobwebs and dirt first. Then they screwed in all the loose and missing screws. Then Brent took them to pick out some paint. It took them two days to paint it. Nana made a shade cover for it a few years ago and we put that back on it. I'm sad I didn't get a picture of it with the cover on it. It turned out so cute and they were VERY proud of themselves and now they have a very cool sandbox that they fixed up to play in this summer. I like this project idea. Nik Nik was in charge of snacks and kept all the kids stocked up on granola bars.

All three kids busy painting.

Swinging in the Spring

We have definetly gotten our full use out of this chepo swingset. It is getting old and rickity but the kids still love playing on it. Swingset weather has been pretty sparce this spring! We have managed a few morning while the girls are at school though. One of my favorite memories with my kids!

My Pumpkin'

I had a meeting at our house and I was running behind. I wanted to have a treat for everyone and was going to make Aunt Sarah's Chocolate Chip Pumpking Bread. Jessie offered to make it for me. WOW! She did amazing! And my little pumpkin's pumpkin bread was DELISH! We made mini loafs and there was extra so Jessie asked if she could take one to Sister Bankhead, her piano teacher.
