Ice Skating
Brent took the girls ice skating at the outdoor skating rink. He refused to take the camera with him (not that I blame him) so these are the only pics I have of them when I dropped them off. They all had a great time!

Pull!!!
My brother Ryan, went out to check on some cows and got his truck stuck in a huge snow drift. He called the house for someone to come pull him out. Everyone was outside doing chores except me. So....April (and Nik Nik) to the rescue! Funny I couldn't remember to use my camera on Christmas Day but remembered to take it to pull Ryan out! It was funny. Ryan said, "April, you've done this a ton of times...why the pictures?" Well, everyone who knows me now wouldn't believe that I'd have done this a thousand times. This is proof!

Christmas Day
Wow! Pathetic! That is the only word to describe the lack of pictures taken on Christmas Day! Seriously, What is wrong with me! There are no pictures of cousins or grandparents or even one of me, the mom....Wow! Despite picture proof it was a great Christmas. Faith, Family, Friends!Brent, Kaylee Nicole, Brookie and Jessie
This year for just our little family we each drew one other persons name and got them a gift. The kids had the best time doing this. Their gifts were very well thought out and they were all so excited to be the giver! This is Brookie helping Kaylee Nicole open the gift she got her.Christmas Pictures

Christmas Eve
The picture is absolutely priceless! All the kids looking out the window for Santa because they heard his bells!
Uncle Cody and Daddy trying out Braden's new toy...just to make sure it worked...wink wink!Okay, so what we realized this year is that the older your kids get the harder it is to make it LOOK like they got as much as the rest of the kids. Brooke's main gift from Santa this year was an IPOD. Seriously, that does not take up very much room at a stocking! When I went to take the pictures of their stockings I noticed how little it looked like she was getting. Brent and I had to do some strategic arranging and shuffling of gifts and I totally forgot to go back and take a picture of Brooke's newly arranged stocking...long story to explain the absence of a picture!
Nativity
I love Christmas time! I love our Savior, Jesus Christ and celebrating his birth. I also love traditions! One tradition from my childhood is to act out the nativity. It's a great hands on teaching opportunity for little kids and I love that my kids have a chance to learn experience this with their cousins each year. Shepherds (Claire, Jaci and Justin)

Sing for Food
This year the cheer club did a caroling food drive. I drove around the night before and placed bags on doors in a neighborhood with a tag that said we would be there the following night to sing for food. It was lots of fun. We split into two groups and sang our little hearts out! Lots of good memories and a good chance for the girls to do some service. Afterwards we went to the Plaut's home for appetizers and hot cocoa!
